故事大綱（本事）	何佳俊與離婚婦人張文嫻相戀多年，因為年齡懸殊而遭家中反對，遂有離港之念，澳州准其移民申請之日，他央姐姐敏貞代向父母說項，冀於遠行之前得父母諒解，與文嫻共進晚餐。 敏貞為思想前進的女編輯，與畫家男友亦陷入感情危機，常為九七陰影的去留問題而生齟齬，近日又因北而歐女曼莉芙烏曼訪港誕責騎驅逐越南難民而忿忿不平，決定去信反駁。 文嫻獲悉去國障礙己除之後，突然對前途充滿畏懼，竭斯底里，令敏貞非常同情，而在她費盡唇舌之後，終於母親首肯，接待文嫻。 這是六四後的香港，雨雲密佈，政治神經緊張，敏貞探訪好友卓妮，一看到她擺佈的「核電女神」諷刺舞劇，聽她追述在北京的六四經過，心有戚戚，她訪尋昔日的阿家恩人，以殖民地為家，決與香港共存亡的香港立法局英籍議員杜葉錫恩，但仍難釋其迷惘。 另方面，惴惴不安的文嫻，儘管謹謹慎慎地會見兩老，依然弄得不歡而散，心理失掉平衡的她，又竟在離別派對上，與佳俊弄出自殺驚魂。 但儘管愛情無奈，世情難測，浮世中的夢者，仍是在希望中甦醒的……
